A Twitter user recently put up a 26-tweet long thread explaining why locust attack has been happening. He shed some light upon concept of Indian Ocean Dipole and clearly explained how phemen is related to swarms of locusts that have been flying around country. He educated internet users by drawing a strong connection between climate change and locust swarms.

A Twitter user recently explained how swarms of locusts have suddenly appeared and how y are expected to affect people and ir lives. It was earlier established through various reports that locusts can do some serious dam to crops, hence affecting livelihood of human beings. In this Twitter thread, man has connected climate change and melting icebergs in rrn hemisphere to Indian Ocean Dipole which was furr connected with migration of locust in such huge numbers.

He revealed that unprecedented rainfall in middle east and parts of Africa is directly responsible for appearance of insect. He wrote that due to strong dipole, unexpected intensity of rainfall occurred in middle-east and East Africa. This rainfall gave locust eggs right environment to hatch and come out of ir dormant st. hatching, according to him, occurred in secluded parts of deserts where water unexpectedly collected and could t be kept in check due to human habitations. He also revealed in process that Australian forest fires have quite a bit to do with Indian Ocean Dipole as well.

Twitter user also gave away a lot of information about locusts and how y function. He spoke about ir ability to consume food which is just as much as ir weight. He termed locusts as piranhas of sky and revealed that y start off as hoppers and attain ir wings in middle of ir journey.
