Maharashtra: Thieves use JCB to steal ATM machine in Sangli; police probe initiated

In a shocking incident in Maharashtra's Sangli, thieves used a JCB vehicle to steal an ATM machine during night hours. The incident was recorded on CCTV.

In a shocking incident in Maharashtra's Sangli, an ATM machine has been stolen in a unique way. As seen on CCTV footage, a JCB machine was used to steal an ATM machine in Maharashtra's Sangli. incident took place around midnight on Saturday when an AXIS bank's ATM machine was stolen in Miraj area of Sangli.

In CCTV footage that captured crime, a man is seen entering ATM and n going out suddenly. After this, a JCB machine is seen smashing glass door of ATM. And with help of JCB,  ATM machine was stolen. in-charge of Miraj Gramin Police station, Inspector Chandrakant Bedre said that ATM machine which was stolen on intervening night of April 22-23 belongs to AXIS bank.

Inspector Bedre said that a JCB was first stolen from a petrol pump and n it was used to steal ATM. "A JCB was stolen from petrol pump and n, y used this JCB to steal ATM machine. We found stolen JCB and also found ATM machine. re was Rs. 27 lakh cash in ATM machine," he told ANI.

Speaking about ongoing investigation, Inspector Chandrakant Bedre said, "Or senior police officials have also visited site where ATM was stolen. He furr ded that police are investigating CCTV footage of petrol pump from where JCB was stolen. "We are investigating CCTV Footage of petrol pump. And from information available we have me two teams for investigation, " Inspector Chandrakant Bedre, in charge of Miraj Gramin Police station told ANI. He furr ded that cases have been registered and an investigation is underway. "We will find culprits soon," he said.

Thieves steal bridge in Bihar

It is not first time that thieves are using strange means to steal something. Earlier, a bunch of individuals, disguising mselves as Irrigation Department officials, stole a shaky 60-foot long, 500-tonne weighed steel-me bridge. incident took place in Amiyawar village in Rohtas district in Bihar wherein a 10 feet wide and 12 feet high bridge, atop an in-land Ara Sone canal, was uprooted.

local ministration was unaware of ft crime while alleged robbers drove a construction/demolition vehicle JCB along with a truck and took away uprooted bridge in front of whole town.  thieves came to area with equipment, bulldozers and gas torches, and nobody sensed crime until bridge was looted from spot, before everyone's eyes.

It may be noted that stolen bridge was reportedly built in year 1972 and locals h alrey raised safety concerns and applied for its removal. However, y could not anticipate that y could be tricked into someone's alleged plans to steal a bridge.
