ARM Box Office Collection Day 2: Tovino Thomas Starrer Mints ₹5.85 Crore In India

Ajayante Randam Moshanam, starring Tovino Thomas, is witnessing a low reception in theatres seemingly due to the ongoing MeToo movement in Malayalam cinema.

Ajayante Randam Moshanam Box Office Collection: Tovino Thomas starrer ARM had a low opening as it earned only ₹2.9 crore at the domestic box office. However, on the second day (Friday), a slight spike in the collection was witnessed.

Helmed by Jithin Laal, the movie minted ₹2.95 crore, early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the two-day collection, the movie collection total stands at ₹5.85 crore at the box office in India. A.R.M had an overall 36.83 per cent Malayalam occupancy on Friday with the maximum reported in Kozhikode (51 per cent).

The movie stars Tovino in triple roles, alongside Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Basil Joseph, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh and Pramod Shetty. It is set in northern Kerala , in the 1900s, 1950s and 1990s three generations of heroes, Maniyan, Kunjikelu, and Ajayan, try to protect the most important treasure of the land.

ARM budget

Aayante Randam Moshanam was initially filmed in 2D but was later converted to 3D. The production, including print and promotional costs, was reportedly completed with a budget of ₹30 crore.

Tovino Thomas opens up about ARM's 6-year-long journey

At a press event, Tovino got emotional while talking about his film and recalled the 6-year-long journey behind the making process of the film. He shared the struggles the cast and crew faced to bring this project to life."I can't express enough gratitude to everyone who played a significant role in bringing this film to life. We faced numerous challenges during its making, though now we look back and laugh. There were moments of tears, disagreements, and even smiles shared along the way," he said.

Not many know ARM features special voiceovers from legendary actors across languages. Mohanlal from Malayalam cinema has lent his voice to the cosmic creator character in the movie. Whereas, in the Tamil version Chiyaan Vikram has lent voice to the same character, while in the Kannada version, it is voiced by Shivarajkumar.
