ARM Box Office Collection Day 4: Tovino Thomas Starrer Packs A Punch In 1st Weekend, Earns ₹15 Crore

The 3D version of ARM is drawing in crowds and has accounted for over 60 percent of the business. Trivandrum and Kochi have emerged as the biggest markets.

ARM Box Office: Onam has turned out to be a good occasion for the release of Tovino Thomas led Aayante Randam Moshanam or ARM. The movie starring Tovino in a triple role is doing well in Kerala and has managed to grow its collections each day over the first weekend. ARM witnessed a jump of over 40 percent in its business on Sunday, taking its total to near ₹15 core mark in its extended first weekend.

ARM box office collection breakdown

According to Sacnilk, ARM collected ₹2.9 crore on Thursday, ₹2.95 crore on Friday, ₹4 crore on Saturday and ₹4.5 crore on Sunday, taking its total to ₹14.35 crore in the first four days of its release. Maximum collections have come in from the Malayalam version with occupancy crossing the 50 percent mark on Sunday.

Business in other versions has been muted due to limited release. However, the 3D version is drawing in crowds and has accounted for over 60 percent of the business. Trivandrum and Kochi have emerged as the biggest markets for the Tovino Thomas starrer.

What is ARM about?

Aayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) stars Tovino Thomas, Krithi Shetty, Basil Joseph, Rohini, Aishwarya Rajesh, Surabhi Lakshmi, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Pramod Shetty in key roles. According to IMDb, set in Northern Kerala in 1900, 1950 and 1990, in ARM, three generations of heroes, Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan, try to protect the most important treasure of the land. The film is directed by Jithin Laal and produced by Magic Frames. ARM release came at a time when Mollywood was hit by the #MeToo wave.

After the release of the Hema Committee Report on August 19, several celebs from the Malayalam film industry have been accused of sexual assault and rape. With cases filed against several, the industry in mired in controversies.
