Big Relief For Siddique In Rape Case, Malayalam Actor Granted Anticipatory Bail By Apex Court

The Supreme Court has granted bail to Malayalam actor Siddique who faced alleged charges of raping an actress.

Malayalam actor Siddique has been granted anticipatory bail by Supreme Court, which was based on allegations levelled by a young actor. This comes after Kerala High Court h refused to grant anticipatory bail in sexual harassment case registered against Siddique.

Siddique h filed a petition in Supreme Court for anticipatory bail in sexual harassment case registers against Siddique by a Malayalam film actress. Granting anticipatory bail, Supreme Court acknowledged that complainant h filed a complex in 2016, almost 8 years after alleged incident and she h also posted on Facebook in 2018 in which allegations were me against 14 people including Siddique in connection with alleged sexual abuse.

Along with fact that she did not approach Justice Hema Committee with her complaint. Supreme Court has ordered that actor Siddique will cooperate in investigation and will have to submit his passport in lower court. Granting anticipatory bail to Siddique, Supreme Court said that remaining conditions of anticipatory bail will be decided by lower court.

All about Siddique charged with sexual assault case

According to PTI, a rape case has been registered against Siddique following a female actor's allegation that he sexually assaulted her in 2016. An FIR under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered against actor at Museum police station, a senior police officer said. case was registered under IPC as offence allegedly occurred in 2016.

In a media interaction, actress alleged that incident happened when she was 21 years old. She stated that Siddique initially contacted her on Facebook, dressing her as "Mole," a term often used in Kerala to refer to a young girl or daughter. She furr claimed that during discussion, he sexually abused her.
