L2 Empuraan First Look: Prithviraj Sukumaran As Zayed Masood, The Emperor's General, Is Combat Ready

Prithviraj Sukumaran is celebrating his 41st birthday today, October 16, and on this occasion, makers have treated actor's fans to his first look from L2: Empuraan. production house Lyca Productions introduced actor as Zayed Masood.

Taking to X, Lyca Productions shared character poster of Prithviraj in which he can be seen in a commando avatar with a bulletproof vest and wielding a gun. He can seen standing in an ancient building with broken scultures. "Happy birthday General! Forsaken by God…nurtured by DEVIL! #ZayedMasood Emperor’s General," re caption.

Helmed by Prithviraj himself, movie serves as second installment of a trilogy, following 2019 film Lucifer. movie is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirv Cinemas.

What else do we know about L2: Empuraan?

It stars Mohanlal as Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, reprising his role from original, alongside, Mammootty as Masood Ezra portrays role of an ageing don confined to his bed, exuding a quiet yet intimidating presence (Godfar of Khureshi), an ensemble cast of Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Arjun Das, Saniya Iyappan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Fazil, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, and Sachin Khedekar. film's music will be composed by Deepak Dev, who composed music for prequel.

movie is still in filming stage which began last year in October. It will be released in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kanna and Hindi. makers are planning to release movie worldwide on last week of March 2025, which will mark 6th anniversary of Lucifer.
