Lucky Baskhar: Dulquer Salmaan Starrer Locks Release Date, To Hit Theatres In September

Dulquer Salmaan has been shooting for his upcoming multilingual movie Lucky Baskhar. Last month, the makers unveiled the teaser of the movie and revealed that the movie will hit the theatres in July. However, on Wednesday, the makers announced the new release date.

When will Lucky Baskhar release in theatres?

Taking to his Instagram handle, Dulquer shared a new poster of Lucky Baskhar and announced that the pan-India movie will now release on September 27. The film, set in the late '80s and early '90s, chronicles the extraordinary journey of an ordinary bank cashier named Lucky Baskhar. "Gear up to witness the extra-ordinary tale of #LuckyBaskhar in theatres from SEPTEMBER 27th!" read the caption.

The film, which is in its final leg of shooting, will release in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.

What else do we know about Lucky Baskhar?

Helmed by Venky Atluri, the writer-director of blockbusters like Tholi Prema and Sir Vaathi, the movie stars Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead role opposite Dulquer. In February this year, the makers welcomed Ayesha Khan on board. In the movie, she has a special appearance. Expressing her happiness, the actress said that she is "super excited" for her role. "It’s an honour to perform under Venky sir’s direction and to be a part of such a fine team, she added.

Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Souianva of Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is being presented by Srikara Studios. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film with Nimish Ravi as the cinematographer. National Award-winning production designer Banglan and editor Navin Nooli are also part of the project.
