While Nivin Pauly stands in the forefront of the first look poster, it’s the background that lends the visual a really interesting vibe. Standing in a pyramid-like structure behind Pauly is a huge crowd of people of a varied demography - the horde of people in the poster includes people of many races and ethnicities. Not only does this create an interesting visual, it also builds intrigue around the film’s premise and storyline.
On December 26, The Malayalee from India makers had released a quirky title announcement video which featured the film’s lead cast - Nivin Pauly, Listin Joseph and Shine Tom Chacko - interacting with the film’s director Dijo Jose Anthony in a self-aware and parody-like conversation.
Dijo Jose Anthony had earlier made Jana Gana Mana
Nivin Pauly was last seen in Ramchandra Boss & Co, a wacky action-comedy that didn’t fare well at the box office. Made on a budget of approximately 22 crores, the film earned Rs. 4.55 crore at domestic box office. Malayalee from India marks the first collaboration between the Moothon actor and Dijo Jose Anthony, who had earlier directed the 2022 thriller Jana Gana Mana.
Besides Nivin Pauly, the film’s ensemble cast includes notable actors like Dhyan Sreenivasan, Anaswara Rajan, Manju Pillai, Salim Kumar and Vijayakumar. The script has been penned by Sharis Mohammed, while Jakes Bejoy is the composer. Malayalee from India is produced by Magic Frames and Pauly Jr Pictures.
