RDX actor Antony Varghese Pepe to share screens with Malayalam star Mohanlal in Malaikottai Vaaliban

Antony Varghese Pepe demonstrated his talent in his last film RDX. The film, fully known as Robert Dony Xavier, became an unlikely hit in the Malayalam film industry. Throughout India, the film minted Rs 46.8 crore nett while achieving a box office collection of Rs 84.07 crore worldwide. Now, the makers of Malaikottai Vaaliban have announced that they'll be working with Antony Varghese Pepe for their next film.

Antony Varghese Pepe is now set to work with director Govind Vishnu and writer Deepu Rajeevan's next. The film was announced by the makers on Varghese's 34th birthday on October 11, 2023. The title of the film is yet to be revealed. Varghese shared a video on social media, officiating the collaboration.

What do we know about Malaikottai Vaaliban?

Malaikottai Vaaliban is the upcoming film featuring Mohanlal after his appearance in Alone (2023) and most recently Rajinikanth's Jailer (2023). The film has been produced by Shibu Baby John while it has been directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. It is set to be a period drama, with the official synopsis being, “Follows the life of a legendary man whose struggles and life pave the way for next generations.”

Other than Malaikottai Vaaliban, Mohanlal has several other films in the pipeline. While his films Neru, Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, and Ram: Part 1 are in post-production phases, his films Vrushubha, Olavum Theeravum, Empuraan and Ram: Part 2 are currently in various stages of production.
