Thalavan motion poster: Biju Menon, Asif Ali’s turn cops for upcoming thriller

Makers of Jis Joy’s upcoming thriller titled Thalavan dropped a motion poster of the film across their social media platforms. The film, starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali in lead roles, promises to be a gripping narrative along with investigative thrills. However, the makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.

A look into Thalavan

The motion poster of Thalavan features Biju Menon and Asif Ali donning police uniforms against a backdrop complemented by a background score. The tagline, "You are in the battle forever with the one who is as strong as you!" is also teased by the actors in the motion poster.

Joining the duo on this journey are stars including Dileesh Pothen, Miya George, Anushree, Kottayam Nazeer, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K John, Nandan Unni, and Dinesh. Notably, Dileesh Pothen will portray a pivotal role in this investigative thriller.

Thalavan is produced by Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian under the banner of Arun Narayan Productions, in collaboration with London Studios. With Deepak Dev lending his musical prowess as the music director and Sharan Velayudhan, known for his work in Saudi Vellakka, helming the cinematography.

Biju Menon and Asif Ali as police officers onscreen

Biju Menon, known for his portrayal of cops in previous films like Christian Brothers, Twenty-20, Baba Kalyani, and the acclaimed Ayyappanum Koshiyum, has garnered immense praise for his performances. His lauded role as SI Ayyapan Nair earned him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2022.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali showcased his police avatar in Jeethu Joseph’s Kooman and has been part of successful ventures in recent years.

For director Jis Joy, Thalavan marks a return to the theatrical sphere after the OTT release of his previous film, Innale Vare, featuring Asif Ali, Antony Varghese, and Nimisha Sajayan.
