Malayalam superstar Mammootty's upcoming political drama titled One was slated to hit atres on May 22, 2020. However, due to Coronavirus pandemic, release date of highly-anticipated Malayalam film has been pushed by makers. re were several reports by online portals regarding makers considering an OTT release for film, but y recently set record straight that film will only have a atre release via a statement.

Mammootty's next 'One' to t have an OTT release, confirm makers
Mammootty's highly-anticipated Malayalam film titled One has been directed by Santosh Vishwanath. film stars Mammootty as Chief Minister of Kerala. Malayalam superstar was recently seen essaying role of former CM of Andra Presh late YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Telugu film titled Yatra. However, release of film was halted due to Coronavirus outbreak and re was quite a buzz surrounding OTT release of film.

refore, in a statement to media, makers of film cleared all air about film's OTT release and said that y are very firm about ir decision of a atrical release for film. In ir statement, makers confirmed that y are t planning to release One on any OTT platform and are looking for a atrical release once on-going Coronavirus crisis settles down.
Talking about film, alongside Mammootty, One also stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Renji Panicker, Sreenivasan, Joju George and Murali Gopy in key roles while film also marks debut of Ishaani Krishna in film industry. On January 1, 2020, Mammootty took to social media to unveil his character poster as Kakkal Chandran from film. In poster, actor is seen sporting a white shirt and a white dhoti and black glasses. However, Mammootty was last seen in Malayalam period drama titled Mamangam. In a media interaction, actor h said that he accepted project because he saw it as an opportunity to take history of Mamangam to audience. Helmed by M Pmakumar, film also starred Prachi Tehlan, Iniya, Unni Mukundan and Tarun Arora in le roles.
