Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban to clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer Fighter

Mohanlal has been strong at work throughout the years. He is currently working on his pan-Indian project Malaikottai Vaaliban, which is a grand epic with philosophical and spiritual elements. The release date of the film has been revealed with a new poster, and it is set to clash with another massive Bollywood release.

Malaikottai Vaaliban new poster out

Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery have teamed up for the film, for which a new poster has been released. In it, Mohanlal’s character can be seen donning the spiritual garb of an ancient ascetic while sitting cross-legged, seemingly ready to perform a ritual. He can be seen surrounded by a number of people. 

The poster also revealed the release date of the upcoming film, which is January 25, 2024. It is set to clash with the highly-anticipated film Fighter, which features the likes of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. Fighter comes from the War (2019) and Pathaan (2023) director Siddharth Anand, who is also directing Tiger vs Pathaan.

Mohanlal in Jailer

Mohanlal, who was last seen in Alone, was also seen in Jailer in a cameo role. While his role was relatively limited in the film, his character Mathew seemed to have a strong backstory. Since his character went way back to Rajinikanth’s Muthuvel Pandian, it remains to be seen whether it will be explored with a dedicated film from Nelson Dilipkumar or not. Reports of the same circulated on social media.
