Mohanraja to direct 'Lucifer' remake in Telugu, film to star Chiranjeevi in the lead

Mohan Raja to direct Lucifer remake 

According to a report by Cinema Express, Chiranjeevi's new movie, which will be his 153rd film, is going to be remake of Malayalam blockbuster film titled Lucifer. While it was earlier speculated that VV Vinayak would step into director's shoes, it is w confirmed that Mohanraja would direct it. Mohan Raja, who me his directorial debut with Hanuman Junction in 200), will return to Telugu industry with this film. director even tweeted anuncing his next directorial venture starring Chiranjeevi. Talking about Lucifer remake, Mohan Raja stated that script has been updated and some changes have been me as well and filming would go on floors in January 2021. He furr mentioned that rest of cast and crew haven't been finalized yet. Talking about working with South superstar Chiranjeevi, director said that it was a little tough to crack changes necessary for Telugu version but whatever y did was loved by actor. Right from first meet, he was excited about script and was keen to do an updated version of film and also gave director a lot of creative freedom.

Speaking about returning to Telugu cinema for first time in almost two deces, Mohan Raja says that it has been a blessing in disguise that even though he did t direct a Telugu film in almost two deces, he was always close to industry as he reme six Telugu films in or langus, which psychologically kept him close to Telugu cinema. He concluded by stating that people still remember Hanuman Junction and it was a huge hit when it came out and with that kwledge and experience, he is confident in doing a wonderful film w. Mohan Raja has previously worked in films like Thani Oruvan and Vellaikaran and h won several awards for former. director has even appeared in a couple of films, most recently in Yhum Oore Yavarum Kelir which released earlier this year.
