Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says there might not be another season of 'Sacred Games'

In a recent interview with a media portal, Gangs of Wasseypur actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui talked about the possibility of Sacred Games 3.

In a recent interview with a media portal, Gangs of Wasseypur actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui talked about possibility of Sacred Games 3. According to actor, likelihood of a third season was quite low since previous season was quite disappointing for fans. However, actor said that show got huge worldwide acclaim. He also said that actors who starred in Sacred Games never received such recognition before.

Speaking about show’s popularity, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that when he was shooting in Rome for Tannishta Chatterjee’s film, several people spoke to him about show. As per reports, this incident took place before release of Sacred Games 2. However, actor also mitted that second season of Sacred Games 2 was relatively disappointing. He also felt that intention of Sacred Games 2 was t as sincere as first season of show.

Speaking about possibility of Sacred Games season 3, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that show h covered everything from vel and hence re was thing that was left to be said. Gangs of Wasseypur actor also ackwledged that his character and dialogues in Sacred Games series were quite popular.

However, he said that he couldn’t take credit for popularity of his lines. He said that he wasn’t screenwriter and hence couldn’t take credit for his dialogues. Nawaz also said that a country like India always gave credit to an actor for popularity of his lines. To support his views, Nawazuddin Siddiqui gave example of Yash Chopra’s film Deewaar. Nawaz said that veteran actor Shashi Kapoor got credit for line, “Mere Paas Maa Hai”. However, he said that line was written by celebrated screen-writer, Salim Javed.

On work front:

Nawazuddin Siddiqui me his debut in Bollywood with 1999 action drama film, Sarfarosh. However, Nawazuddin played a small role in this film. As of date, actor has been critically acclaimed for movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manjhi - Mountain Man. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's shows have also been quite popular among masses. In dition to Sacred Games franchise, Nawaz also starred in a British crime drama series called McMafia. As of date actor, recently starred in comedy-drama movie Ghoomketu. Ghoomketu review has been mixed.

Sacred Games was first Netflix original series in India. crime thriller is directed by Vikramitya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap. Sacred Games’ cast comprises celebrated Bollywood actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan, Rhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Kalki Koechlin, and Ranvir Shorey. Sacred Games is based on Vikram Chandra's 2006 vel of same name. This show revolves around a police officer who receives a mess from a gangster to save city in a span of twenty-five days.
