Netflix renews 'The Crown' one last time, says it'll end before Harry-Meghan controversy
The Crown season 6 will reportedly be the last season for the Netflix show. It is slated to go off-air before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle controversy.

Popular Netflix show, Crown is slated to make a comeback for one more season despite its creators revealing that show was slated to end after five seasons. It has been revealed that Netflix renewed popular show for one more season. streaming app took to social media and revealed that y can confirm that Crown season 6 is happening, however, y also mentioned that this will be last season for show.

On Thursday, Netflix anunced return of Crown for one last season. Crown based on life of British royals, focusing primarily on reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It has been revealed that each season of show essays a dece of Queen's reign.

creator and writer of show, Peter Morgan reportedly told a news daily that as y started discussing storyline for fifth season it became clear that y should rethink idea of ending show with five seasons. He reportedly mentioned that ‘richness and complexity’ of story could only be done justice to if y must go back to ir original plan and renew show for one more season. He also revealed that Crown season 6 is 'where closer' to present-day and that last season will only cover same area in more detail.
It has been reported that Netflix told a news daily that Crown will have one more season that features Queen Olivia Colman before she gives her crown away to Imelda Staunton. According to reports, Olivia Colman took role from Claire Foy who originally played role of young Queen. However, Imelda Staunton will w play role of queen after Olivia Colman.

Cindy Holland, vice president of original content at Netflix, told a news daily that show, Crown raises bar with each season. She said that she cant wait for audiences to see upcoming season four and that she is proud of writer’s vision and phemenal support that y have received from cast and crew for Crown Season 6. According to news ncy PTI, actor Imelda Staunton previously stated that she is a huge fan of show Crown from very beginning. actor stated that she is houred to be a part of exceptionally creative team of Crown. Unlike her producers, Imelda Staunton only got to play part of Queen Elizabeth II for one season, while both Claire Foy and Olivia Coleman got to play role for two seasons each.
