Kishore Kumar till date is known to be one of the most multi-talented men in the Bollywood industry. Apart from being an actor and a playback singer, he was also a screenwriter, movie director, producer, music director as well as a lyricist. He has acted in some blockbuster movies and has also sung quite a few soulful tunes. Kishore Kumar’s melodic voice is remembered by his fans even today. On the occasion of his 32nd death anniversary, netizens took to Twitter to express their gratitude and to reminisce the loss of a legendary star.

Fans wrote about how they miss the multi-talented man and will never forget his heart touching voice. Many said that though there are some great singers in Bollywood today, there is no replacement for their beloved Kishore Da. About Kishore Kumar

Kishore Kumar was born in a Bengali family in Khandwa. He changed his name from Abhas Kumar Ganguly to Kishore Kumar before he debuted in the film industry. Kishore Da has sung many songs and in many different languages including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Gujrati, Assamese, Urdu, Bhojpuri and Malayalam. He holds the record for winning the maximum number of Filmfare awards in the Best Male Playback Singer category. However, it is alleged that he has sung both the male and female versions of a duet in the movie Half-Ticket.

There is an award named after Kishore Da which was instituted by the Madhya Pradesh government in 1997. The National Kishore Kumar award is given away for scriptwriting, acting, directing and for exceptional lyrics, every year. Industry giants such as Amitabh Bachchan, Yash Chopra, Gulzar and Shyam Benegal, to name a few are the recipients of the prestigious honour.
