As world is witnessing Solar Eclipse on June 21, it is on same day as summer solstice, longest day of year after which days begin waning again. This “Annular Solar Eclipse” has also been termed as “ring of fire” and netizens from across globe are sharing ims of eclipse.

One must be careful when it comes to watching sky during eclipse with bare eyes. rays of sun can permanently dam tissues of eyes and Ultra Violet (UV) riation can also weaken outer layer of eye and le to cataract development.

According to NASA when 99 per cent of sun's surface is covered during partial phases of a solar eclipse, small visible part of sun can still burn retina eyes hence it is highly recommended t to watch eclipse with bare eyes. Avoid use of sunglasses, goggles, exposed x-ray sheet or lampblack over glass y are t safe and can le to permanent vision loss and can dam eyes.
