Not Deepika Padukone but a sound artist gave voice to her character for 'Kochadaiiyaan'

Deepika Padukone did not dub for Kochadaiiyaan instead a dubbing artist gave voice for her role in the Tamil movie. Starring Deepika Padukone & Rajnikanth.

Deepika Pukone is one of most sought after actor in Bollywood.  actor is gearing w for a Telugu debut opposite South actor Prabhas. However, this is t her first time to foray in South Film industry.  Chhapaak actor has also done a Tamil movie titled Kochaiiyaan. It stars South superstar Rajnikanth in le, opposite her. However, t many kw that in Tamil movie, a popular sound artist dubbed for her character.

Deepika Pukone's Voice Was Dubbed In Tamil Version Of Kochaiiyaan

Kochaiiyaan is Deepika Pukone's first Tamil film. Bollywood stunner essayed role of fierce princess Vhana Dev in movie. It is an Animation- Action flick which is directed by Rajnikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. Initially reports suggested that Deepika Pukone will herself dub for Tamil version for film. But, when film released, a famous dubbing artist Savitha Reddy dubbed for Deepika's character Vhana in animation flick unlike expected.

reason why decision of roping in a dubbing artist was taken by makers is because DP's character in  Soundarya Rajinikanth directorial demanded fluent Tamil diction and tritional pronunciation of dialogue. Interestingly, Savita h also dubbed for Pukone in Om Shanti Om, her debut Hindi movie as well.

A lot of anticipation and buzz was around this project prior to cinematic release of movie. A lot of Deepika's fans were waiting for her to deliver Tamil dialogues once again post Chennai Express.

In an interview with a media publication, director of Kochaiiyaan, Soundarya Rajnikanth, talked about why Savita was ideal choice as a voice artist. She said as Deepika Pukone's character is that of a very powerful, fierce, and strong woman in film, Savita 's voice was perfect for such a character.

story of Deepika Pukone starrer Kochaiiyaan is about a warrior named Rana who aim to seek revenge for his far murder from killer. Rajnikanth played that role. Tamil movie is an interesting revenge-drama wrapped beautifully in form of an animated film which released in several langus. Actors like Ahi Pinisetty, Jackie Shroff, and Shobana also played pivotal roles in film.
