House of Dragon is back with a new season after two years. Serving as prequel to hit TV show Game of Thrones, second season is based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. It takes place after death of Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (played by Emma D’Arcy) second-born son, Lucerys’ Luke’ Velaryon. King Aegon II sits on Iron Throne after usurpation, supported by Queen Dowr Alicent Hightower (played by Olivia Cooke). second instalment premiered on June 16 in US, followed by a June 17 premiere in India.

Tom Glynn-Carney, who essays role of King Aegon II in show feels that his character in show has abandonment issues and a guilt complex. Talking about his character, Tom said, “You should never, as an actor, judge a character because I feel like if you judge m you might dislike m and that’s t good. So you have to learn to love m by whatever means that takes. Regardless, I don’t dislike Aegon. I think he’s immensely troubled and very complex, for good reasons.”
