Rakht Brahmand: Samantha Ruth Prabhu Excited To Be Back On Sets Amid Myositis Treatment

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be featuring in upcoming fantasy series titled Rakht Brahmand. She will next be seen in spy thriller series Citadel.

After Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s diagnosis with auto-immune disease, the actress has been focusing on her health and taking up fewer projects. After Citadel, Samantha made an official announcement of featuring in an upcoming series.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu announces her upcoming project

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared a post on Instagram announcing her shoot for the period fantasy series, ‘Rakht Brahamand’. Along with the post, the caption read, “Never stop dreaming. Glad to be back on a film set after a while #Raktbrahmand@d2r_films@netflix_in.”

Fans took to comment section expressing their excitement. One user wrote, “All the best queen..Eagerly waiting for your action sequences”.

Another user wrote, “Wishing the bestest… Sam”. “Excitement level gone up, Can’t wait and lots of love and all the best”, wrote the third user. Actress Disha Patani too commented and wrote, “All the best”.

Reports suggest that she will be co-working with actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi for the Netflix original series titled Rakht Brahmand. It will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his blockbuster film Tumbbad. Production for this series is scheduled to begin in August 2024, with release planned for late 2025.

Interestingly, Raj and DK will serve as the show runners and producers for Rakht Brahmand under their production banner, D2R Films.

Samantha’s upcoming projects

Apart from Rakht Brahmand, the actress hasn't taken up any project this year and is awaiting the release of her highly anticipated web series Citadel: Honey Bunny, co-starring Varun Dhawan.

The spy action series serves as a spin-off to the American television series Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. The upcoming show also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning in the titular roles. It is touted to showcase the background story of Priyanka's character. The series is slated to stream on Prime Video on November 7.
