Squid Game became a global sensation when it first premiered on OTT platform in 2021. Now, with second season around the corner, fans are eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated web-series.
Makers drop new look of Lee Jung Jae from Squid Game 2
In the video clip, Lee Jung Jae intensely looks towards the camera and then it pans towards the numbers of other participants indicating addition of new cast in the show. Lee Jung Jae is set to reprise his role as the sole survivor from the original series of deadly games.
The clip ends with iconic green tracksuits of players, in which the face have been kept hidden. With another drop, fans thronged the comments section expressing their excitement. One user wrote, “See you at the finish line.” Another user wrote, “First one was for survival, now is for vengance.” “Yay!!!!. I have been waiting for long. Netflix”, wrote the third user.
Squid Game season 3 announcement
The makers not only surprised fans with the announcement of season 2, but also dropped release date of season 3. Netflix took to Instagram to announce the release date of the second season with a new teaser. Even before the premiere of the second season, the makers announced final season's release date too. The caption read, “The real game begins. Squid Game Season 2 coming December 26, only on Netflix. Final Season coming 2025.”

Squid Game took the world by storm and become a cultural phenomenon. The popular K-drama became one of the most-watched shows of all time. The first season featured Jung Ho-yeon, Gong Yoo, Anupam Tripathi, Lee Jung-jam, Wi Ha-joon and Her Song-tae among others.
Apart from some of the returning cast, the latest addition to the second season includes Park Sung-soon, Kang Ha-Neul, Yim Si-Wan and Yang Dong-Geun among others.
