Rajinikanth gave me valuable advice for Chandramukhi 2 role, says Raghava Lawrence

Actor Raghava Lawrence, at a recent press meet for Chandramukhi 2 in Hyderab, praised stalwarts like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna for ulation y continue to receive from ir fanbase over years. He also mentioned how Rajinikanth offered him vice for his role in Chandramukhi 2. Rajinikanth played  le role in 2005 film Chandramukhi, directed by P Vasu.

Lawrence also recalled his reaction day  Chandramukhi sequel was first anunced. He remembered simply assuming that Rajinikanth would reprise his role from 2005 film, ding that he was surprised upon being offered role by director P Vasu. Lawrence ded, “Vasu Garu n narrated story to me. I feel that I have blessings of Lord Raghavendra Swamy as I got chance to play role that has been done by Rajini Garu."

Lawrence went on to mention that Rajinikanth gave him many valuable suggestions on how to play  role.  Pandi actor also shared that he never h any thoughts about being compared to Rajinikanth for his performance, ding that he just wanted to do justice to role. 

Kangana's security intimidated me, mits Lawrence

On a humorous te, Lawrence also recalled being intimidated by heavy security that always surrounds his co-star Kangana Ranaut on set. He ded, “Yet, she me me feel comfortable. And she rocked in character of Chandramukhi." Chandramukhi 2 will mark second pan-India film for Kangana after her J Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivii. 

Chandramukhi 2 is a sequel to  2005 film Chandramukhi, which was a remake of 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazu.  Besides Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut, Chandramukhi 2 also stars Mahima Nambiar, Vivelu, and Sudha Chandran. Chandramukhi 2, earlier slated to release on September 19, will w release on Thursday, September 28.
