Actor Ranveer Singh is being criticized by netizens for promoting his film 'Simmba's re-release after director Hari apologized for glorifying the police.

Recently, re was a wave of social media reactions to custodial deaths of Tuticorin, Tamilnu based far-son duo Jayaraj and Fenix. As per reports, cops arrested Jayaraj and Fenix for keeping ir mobile shop open in lockdown. duo was brutalized in police custody and people close to late duo have gone public with ir claims and stated y were sodomized by cops which led to profuse bleeding and ultimate death. Ranveer promoting Simmba's re-release comes around same time when director Hari, who helmed original Singam films released a public statement revealing that he regrets making films that glorify cops. In his public statement, Hari wrote that such incidents should t take place in Tamil Nu again. director believes that whole police department is w tainted due to a few officers.
Hari has helmed five films based on cops like Saamy, Saamy Square, Singam, Singam 2, and Singam 3. In conclusion of his te, Hari wrote that he regrets making films that celebrated police.
