Chhattisgarh: Rare black panther spotted after 7 years, netizens recall 'Bagheera'
The rare black panther has created a stir after it was captured on the hidden cameras installed for the counting of tigers in Chhattisgarh area.

A rare black panr has been spotted by officials of Chhattisgarh forest department at Achanakmar Tiger Reserve in Bilaspur after 7 years. panr has reminded internet of ‘Bagheera’ from Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. Shared by an IPS officer, Dipanshu Kabra, on his official Twitter handle, black panr has created a stir after it was captured on cameras installed for counting of tigers in area.

With over 1.6k likes, photo of black panr sighting surprised netizens as one user wrote, “We have been witnessing it only in kabini so far, this would boost opportunities for wildlife aspirants to get ‘Bagheera’ in frame in our very own Chhattisgarh.” Kabini wildlife sanctuary is one of most famous and best places to spot a Black Panr in Karnataka and in India. Spotted in Goa
However, this isn’t first sighting of majestic melanistic leopard which is almost rare to spot in wilderness. Earlier, predator was recorded in camera at Patiem Beat of Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, South Goa. picture was shared by CM Pramod Sawant on his official Twitter handle. predator could be seen lurking near pond in what seemed liked to quench thirst when camera captured sighting.
