Rashami Desai says she slept in car for 4 days
Rashami recalled the hardships she faced immediately after her separation from Nandish. During that time, she had bought a house and taken a loan of nearly ₹2.5 crore. In total, she was in debt for around ₹3.25 to ₹3.5 crore. Rashami Desai added that things got worse than she thought as her show was abruptly cancelled, leaving her with nowhere to go for four days.
She slept in her Audi A6, with all her belongings stored at her manager’s house, completely cut off from her family. She relied on meals costing ₹20 from rickshaw drivers, which included daal and chawal mixed in a plastic bag and two rotis, often containing stones.

Rashami: I started thinking, I would rather die
She also mentioned that after her divorce, even her friends began to view her as difficult due to her lack of expression and tendency to withdraw. Her family didn’t support her decisions. Although she also said that all the loans got paid off, Rashami Desai remained stressed due to the divorce and faced difficulty sleeping. Rashami revealed that she even thought of ending her life.
She said, “I got divorced, and even my friends started to think I was very difficult because I wasn’t expressive and I would go into my shell. My family thought all my decisions were wrong. I somehow paid off my loan but I was still too stressed all the time. I would not sleep. I would just work continuously. At that time, I started thinking, I would rather die.”
