Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh, which is all set to hit aters this Diwali. film, which is a biopic on world's oldest female sharpshooters- Chandro Tomar and Prakash Tomar hailing from Johri vill, in Uttar Pradesh, has been making it up to news ever since film was anunced. While people have been debating over Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar essaying role of women double ir in film, actresses proved that one else could've done it better.

Setting Scene

film set in Johri vill of Uttar Pradesh showcases extremes of patriarchy, where women can be seen walking around with draping a dupatta over ir faces. Keeping up with cultural rm of area, Chandro and Prakash Tomar move around with ir faces covered, even while watching a film. y work in fields and hand over all ir income to men of ir family. From going out of vill to starting a business of ir own, Chandro and Prakash Tomar are bound with restrictions from all sides.

Plot

situation, however, changes when Dr. Yashpal, played by Vineet Kumar Singh, returns to vill and starts his own shooting academy. Chandro and Prakash Tomar, who aspire to make lives of women better in area decide to send ir granddaughters to academy. Eventually,  women discover ir talent in shooting and start practicing  same, hiding from men of ir family. 

Verdict

Saand Ki Aankh is a women-oriented film that narrates story of shooter grannies breaking stereotypes. film extends an inspiring mess of women empowerment and proves that is t a limit. Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar do a brilliant job portraying shooter grannies- Prakash and Chandro Tomar. From ir looks to langu, y have aced it all. Also, actresses have done wonders mastering  body langu of oldest sharpshooters.

With an engaging storyline and stunning performances by actors, Saand Ki Aankh surpasses expectations of audience. film has a perfect balance of emotions. While struggle of women to make a place in man's world will provoke your thoughts, ir actions will leave you in splits. Unlike several Bollywood ventures, songs of film added value to context of story.

Overall, Saand Ki Aankh is an absolute family entertainer celebrating remarkable women of nation. It is definitely worth watch. 

What works: Smart knitting of humour and light-hearted moments in a tightly-packed script.

What doesn't work:  prostic makeup of actors which looked inconsistent.
