Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming Bollywood film The Sky Is Pink is set to hit the screens on October 11, 2019. The trailer of the film shows that it is a love story of a couple seen through the lens of their teenage daughter. The film was recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and has reportedly received a standing ovation from the audience. Priyanka Chopra has expressed her happiness while talking about the early reviews of The Sky Is Pink.

One of the film's positive review was from a doctor who claimed that the film reminded him about why he chose to work in the field of medicine. It seems that the aspect of the film surrounding illness and family problems was a relatable element for the audience. Some people also considered the film to be a tearjerker as it is said to be a family's courageous journey.

Priyanka is a co-producer of this film along with Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Ronnie Screwvala. The Sky Is Pink is marked as a Bollywood comeback for Priyanka Chopra after a 3-year break from the film industry. The film also stars Dangal fame Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in lead roles. Zaira will be seen as Ayesha, a motivational speaker who is diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, an immune deficiency disorder, at the age of 13. She narrates the 25-year-old love story of her parents (Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar) in the film. Director Shonali Bose who has previously worked on Margarita With A Straw (2014) has received compliments from both, national and international audience. The audience applauded her creativity in designing the overall film, the visual effects, and the storyline. It seems that the audience has found a sense of emotional attachment with The Sky Is Pink.
