'Double danger': Rare two-headed Russell's viper rescued in Maharashtra; watch video
The snake was rescued in Maharashtra on August 6. The snake is said to be 11 centimetres long, with its two heads measuring 2 centimetres each.

A double-heed snake was rescued in Maharashtra and a video of incident was uploed on Twitter by Indian Forest Service official Susanta Nanda. video has been captioned as, “Double danger. Two-heed Russell’s Viper rescued in Maharashtra. Genetic abrmality and hence low survival rates in wild. Russell’s Viper is far more dangerous than most poisous snakes because it harms you even if you survive initial bite".

This is t first time that a snake has gained so much attention on social media. Few days back, a five-foot-long python was spotted near Saket metro station in South Delhi and was later released safely into wild. According to ANI, incident happened on July 28, when reptile was ticed by a passerby who found it resting underneath a footbridge from a nearby culvert. incident immediately caused panic outside, Metro station gate 1.
