Samantha's 'The Family Man 2' gets more opposition, Vaiko writes to Javadekar on 'ban'

A section of netizens h expressed ir displeasure against Family Man 2 after trailer that released on May 19, over alleged portrayal of Samantha’s character Raji as a soldier of LTTE, organisation involved in Sri Lankan civil war. Netizens termed show as ‘anti-Tamils’ for showcasing Tamilians as ‘terrorists.’

Vaiko wrote a letter to Javdekar, calling Family Man 2 as an ‘objectionable show that depiticted ‘Tamilians as terrorists and ISI agents and having links with Pakistan’. leer claimed that ‘Tamil speaking Samantha’ was being depicted as a ‘terrorist’ having links with ‘Pakistan terrorists.’

He wrote that visuals h ‘hurt sentiments’ of Tamil people and Tamil culture and was 'offensive against Tamil community.' “ people of Tamil Nu are raising serious objection over such act and are protesting against serial," he wrote in his letter.

He urged Ministry to ‘take immediate action to stop release of Family Man 2. Orwise, people of Tamil Nu will react very seriously and Government has to face serious consequences,” his letter re.

Recently, NTK founder Seeman, who has h a fascination and personal association with LTTE, h opined, " preview of ' Family Man 2', which has been announced for release on Amazon Prime website, and footage featured in it are shocking.
