Supreme Court has granted relief to Ekta Kapoor in case against her for show XXX: Uncensored 2, produced by her banner AltBalaji. As per a report on ANI, producer has been given interim protection from arrest over First Information Report against her for alleged objectionable content.

FIR refers to a sequence in web series, where a man dons an Army uniform while being involved in a sexual act.

FIRs were filed against Ekta Kapoor at mutiple locations. One was filed in Mhya Presh. Earlier, Mhya Presh High Court h also asked police to t take any coercive action against Ekta Kapoor in case, when case was heard in August. Ar h reportedly been filed in Hyderab, but got quashed.

An association of families of martyrs of Armed Forces h also sent a tice to Ekta Kapoor.

Ekta Kapoor h also issued a statement over it. "I’d like to reiterate fact that as a responsible and law-abiding citizen, I have highest regard for Indian Army. y t only risk ir lives at frontier towards protecting us but are also one of most-disciplined and hourable organizations in country. We, at ALTBalaji, have deepest regard for our valiant soldiers and truly respect m and ir families. I would once again make it loud and clear that we offer a sincere and unconditional apology to Army and Army wives if we have unintentionally hurt ir sentiments."

"Taking full ownership of situation, we do agree that objectionable scene shown in episode was a slip at our end. We say that despite show, that came out in March, t being produced by us. That said, with me holding a 30% stake in ALTBalaji, I would have certainly cut scene h I seen episode. We took action at very earliest when this oversight was brought to our tice. Despite first FIR lodged being dismissed by police, we were proactive in our part and removed content so as to t hurt any sentiments," she h ded.
