After the massive success of the web series titled Scam 1992, makers are back with another intriguing story for the next season. Recently, the makers have dropped the teaser of the show Scam 2003: The Telgi Story which will revolve around the life of Abdul Karim Telgi. He was the man who managed to earn a fortune just by printing fake stamp paper.

Scam 2003 to show the biggest financial fraud in India
The teaser of the web series began with a flashback of the 1992 scam by Harshad Mehta. Next, the clip introduced the audience to the 2003 scam when even in the "country of mathematicians, there was a scarcity of zeroes." Then the narrator revealed that the scam was of Rs. 30,000 crore and a glimpse of a huge pile of stamp papers got displayed on the screen.

While the makers refrained from showing the face of Abdul Karim Telgi's character in the teaser, they showed a snippet of him walking by the narrow lane of the street. However, Telgi's character said in the clip, "I have no desire to earn money because money is not earned, it is made." He further added, "If you want to progress in life, you must dare darling."

The Scam 2003: The Telgi Story web series has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani. The series has been adapted from the book Reporter Ki Diary, authored by Sanjay Singh, who was the journalist who broke the news of the scam at the time. Meanwhile, the official synopsis of the show reads, "The story of one of India's biggest scam by Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale."
