scientists have discovered a way to create unique fluorescent foli that glows in dark and riates and maintains a mysterious green gleam for ir whole life cycle. Termed as Bioluminescence plants, se plants emit light like flickering of fireflies and replicate lumius phemen that occurs in a wide range of animals and microorganisms, including some fungi, insects, fish, marine invertebrates and bacteria, according to public research published on Prelight journal of company of biologists.
In an experiment, scientists transferred DNA sequences found in bioluminescence mushrooms into tobacco plants, causing m to riate bright green glow. Researchers discovered that vibrant glow lasted for entire life cycle of plant, from seedling to maturity without use of any external chemical to maintain lumius. techlogy used by scientists could alone create glow "ten-fold" brighter, without harming foli.

In study, Arjun Khakhar, le author of study wrote, “Bioluminescent reporters such as firefly luciferase have been widely used in eukaryotic systems. y are particularly appealing for use in plants as y do t require excitation and hence autofluorescence that is inherent to plant tissue can be avoided.” Furr, paper suggested, that research listed key findings that glowing greenery t only ds an “unusual dimension” to home decor but also opens an opportunity for scientists to explore inner workings of plants.

Twitter thrilled about "glowing-plants"
On Twitter, one of biologists, Karen Sarkisyan, shared findings that gared a huge reaction from users online who were excited to have se plants set-up for homes. Scientists have stated that y intend to bring se plants to market in a few years after y me m "brighter”.
