It has been reported by a leing media portal that police has arrested eight people who were suspected to have allegedly threatened Shamna Kasim. gang members h allegedly me a bid to extort money from her family and h threatened to ruin actor’s film career. latest development on case has been that Dharmajan was summoned to give a police statement.

One of accused in extortion case, hairstylist P Haris was close to actor Dharmajan. Reportedly, Shamna is likely to reach Kochi soon. Special Investigation Team (SIT) shall record statement of actor through video conferencing. According to sources of a media portal, police has said that more actors will be summoned for interrogation. So far, eight people have been arrested so far and SIT has registered nine FIRs.

Moreover, on Saturday, main accused Mohamm Sharief from Palakk was arrested by SIT.  Four or models have also filed separate cases against accused for extortion, blackmail, and criminal intimidation.
