alleged attempt to kidnap actor Shamna Kasim for ransom was successfully put to an end after Kerala Police mand to arrest a gang of imposters. City Police Commissioner of Kochi, Vijay Sakhare has reportedly revealed in a statement that his team of officials has arrested 8 out of 12 gang members who h allegedly tried to extort money from actor. According to media reports, suspected imposters were stopped before executing ir plan due to timely complaint filed by Mili actor.

Shamna ded that her family has decided to lodge a complaint as y were all cheated with fake names, dresses, identities along with a marri proposal which h completely misled m. Mhuraraja actor n went on to say how y were soon blackmailed by imposters and that she still does t kw what ir true intentions were. actor also thanked Kerala police for nabbing culprits on time after her complaint.

She requested everyone to respect ir privacy during this difficult time. Chhattakari actor also mentioned in her statement that she has complete faith in criminal justice system and that she will surely meet media once investigation is resolved completely. According to media reports, out of 8 imposters who were nabbed by Kerala police, one is undergoing treatment after being tested COVID-19 positive. police are reportedly still on lookout for rest of four gang members. Few media reports also stated that imposters collected information about Shamna's family from a few of members of film industry.
