She further added that she visited acid attack survivors to understand their perspectives and dreams that were altered. She said, "Nobody would desire for their kid to experience such anguish and misery. When someone throws acid at another person, not only that individual but also the people in his immediate vicinity, his friends, and his family are affected."
Shweta further added, "Parul wanted to be a lawyer, but in a society where physical looks are valued so highly and people have lost touch with emotion, what would others think of her if she walked into a room with that appearance?"
On being asked about a particular incident she would recall from Kaalkoot, Shweta said that she had two stages of Parul in the series. One was before the time she was attacked, the other was after the acid attack. She recalled breaking down while removing the prosthetics as acid attack survivors cannot just do that. She said, "They cannot think like their work is over, the day is over, so now they will also get that face."
Shweta Tripathi's views on an illusion of beauty
In the same interview, Shweta Tripathi mentioned how people have created an illusion of beauty in society. She said people get self-conscious even if a pimple appears on their skin. The Mirzapur actress further added, "The happiest girls are the prettiest. So, if one will be happy from the inside then one will shine from the outside. It doesn't matter whether your skin is dry or what is the colour of your skin." She concluded by saying that people should change their mindset.
