Sloth explores Texas State Aquarium, meets dolphins as it remains shut for visitors

As zoos and aquariums across world have been shut down, employees have taken to arranging field trips for some zoo inhabitants to visit or animals. re is a fortunate sloth, that got opportunity to visit an aquarium which has been closed to public during lockdown. Texas State Aquarium recently took ir sloth Chico to meet dolphins at Gulf of Mexico exhibit. Such field trips act as enrichment activities for animals.

Texas State Aquarium has shared photos of interaction on Facebook, which shows dolphins Liko and Schooner looking extremely thrilled. y were excited to see  unexpected visitor who had come to see m outside ir enclosure. However, three-year-old Chico seemed to be more interested in sleeping, rar than looking at amazing dolphins.

Texas State Aquarium shared astonishing pictures of personal meeting that took place between sloth and dolphins and it has been doing rounds on internet. video has garnered over 10,000 shares and more than 7,000 reactions. Netizens are all in praise of animals and have showered a host of comments.

'Play-dates for animals' 

A spokesperson for Texas State Aquarium reportedly said that zoo often arranges play dates and field trips for animals. y added that some of ir most popular animals, sloths and dolphins, got a chance to see each or while y were temporarily closed. y have ar sloth, Xena, but on that day, she was more interested in sleeping than meeting dolphins.

y also added that ir dolphins have had opportunity to meet several or animals over years, including baby gators, an African serval, a red-tailed boa and ors. y're almost always very curious about or Aquarium residents. dolphin Liko was even inspired to attempt an upside-down sloth impression, trying to imitate sloth.
