Sonam Kapoor to move into father-in-law’s London home
In one of the UK’s largest residential deals this year, Indian entrepreneur and Sonam Kapoor's father-in-law Harish Ahuja has bought a house in London's Notting Hill for ₹231.47 crore, defying a general slowdown in luxury property sales. According to a UK filing, Shahi Exports Pvt. owner Harish Ahuja purchased the eight-story residential convent in July.
After renovations, his son Anand Ahuja and daughter-in-law Sonam Kapoor are reportedly planning to live in a part of the property. Another section is expected to be converted into flats, according to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Harish Ahuja owns many expensive properties
Reports also suggest that the house has more than 20,000 square feet of area and was once owned by a UK-registered religious order and charity. It is also just a short walk from Kensington Gardens.
Meanwhile, Harish Ahuja's son Anand Ahuja and daughter-in-law Sonam Kapoor own expensive properties in Mumbai and London. The London apartment designed by Rooshad Shroff, beautifully combines British and Indian architectural styles.
