Amaran Box Office Collection Day 1: Sivakarthikeyan Registers His Best Opening, Mints ₹21.25 Crore

Amaran Box Office Collection: Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s biographical action war drama hit the theatres on October 31, the occasion of Diwali . The movie, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan and his heroic sacrifice, is receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences, resulting in a bumper opening.

Amaran, helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy smashed the box office records in Tamil Nadu on its opening day. The movie has earned ₹21.25 crore net in India, per Sacnilk. It is the highest ever for Sivakarthikeyan. In the home state, the movie has approximately earned over ₹15 crore.

The biopic had an overall 77.94 per cent Tamil occupancy on Thursday with the maximum reported in the Trichy region (99 per cent).
So far only two movies have performed extremely well at the box office – Thalapathy Vijay starrer The Greatest of All Time and Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan.

In Tamil Nadu, Amaran was able to surpass, Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 as it earned only ₹13 crore upon its release. If the positive word of mouth continues then the movie is expected to create a history for Sivakarthikeyan.
Amaran trends on top on X on the day of release
Sivakarthikeyan had undergone a transformation from essaying an army officer in Amaran, and seems his hard work has paid off. The movie is being praised for both its action and how the love story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, played by Sivakarthikeyan and Indhu Rebecca Varghese, played by Sai Pallavi. Netizens are calling the film a tear-jerker, which is tempered with adrenaline-pumping action blocks.

The film showcases Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role as Major Mukund Varadarajan, telling the story of the life of the decorated soldier who led the Indian Army's 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company and his noble sacrifice.
