Amaran: College Student Sues Sivakarthikeyan Starrer Makers For ₹1.1 Crore For THIS Reason

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer Amaran released in theatres on October 31, on the occasion of Diwali. The film has received positive reviews from the audience and critics as well. According to reports, the biopic has now landed in a legal trouble.

Amaran in legal trouble?

As per reports, a student has demanded a compensation of ₹1.1 crore from the makers of Amaran. This is after the student’s mobile number was used without permission and even displayed on-screen during one of the scenes in the film.

Reports suggest that the student has claimed ever since the film’s release, the student has been flooded with calls from fans who wish to speak to Sai Pallavi. The student has also claimed she won’t be able to change the number, since it has been linked with important credentials.

Amaran box office collection

Amaran performed well on its first 20 days at the box office and earned an estimated ₹194.45 crore in India net. The biopic earned around ₹2 crore on twenty-first day. The biopic is adapted from the book India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. It seeks to honour not just a soldier but a real-life hero's sacrifices and emotional struggles.

Amaran chronicles the journey of Major Mukund and Indhu from their first meeting in college to marriage and beyond. Mukund Varadarajan was born on April 12, 1983, in Tambaram, Tamil Nadu to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family. Coming from a family with a strong military tradition from his grandfather and two uncles who served in the armed forces, he felt motivated to follow a similar path. During his time with this battalion, Mukund undertook an act of bravery that secured his place in Indian military history.
