According to reports, Sai Pallavi has charged ₹3 crore for doing Amaran. While Sivakarthikeyan has reportedly earned ₹30 crore for his role in Amaran. Several reports have suggested that Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer has mounted to a budget of ₹120 crores.

Amaran is based on real life couple
biopic is apted from book India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. It seeks to honour not just a soldier but a real-life hero's sacrifices and emotional struggles. Amaran chronicles journey of Major Mukund and Indhu from ir first meeting in college to marriage and beyond.
Mukund Vararajan was born on April 12, 1983, in Tambaram, Tamil Nu to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family. Coming from a family with a strong military trition from his grandfar and two uncles who served in armed forces, he felt motivated to follow a similar path. Mukund gruated from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya and obtained a diploma in journalism from Mras Christian College. His desire to serve country led him to enlist in army.
