'Characterless Nayanthara' Trends As Dhanush Fans Troll Lady Superstar Amid Spat Over Rights

Nayanthara Vs Dhanush: South cinema star Nayanthara on Saturday criticised actor Dhanush, who produced her 2015 Tamil movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, for refusing permission to use footage from film in her upcoming Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond Fairytale. While, she found support in actresses like Anupama Parameswaran, Nazriya Nazim, Parvathy Thirovothu and Aishwarya Lekshmi and director Geetu Mohandas, fans of Dhanush trolled her for going public with legal notice.

Dhanush fans attack Nayanthara amid her spat with actor

On social media 'Characterless Ly Nayanthara' trended as fans of Dhanush trolled Jawan actress and her husband Vignesh Shivan for "sabotaging" and "deliberately delaying" Naanum Rowdy Dhaan a dece ago. Many dug up past saying that Nayanthara did not promote movie back n but used footage from film even while Dhanush's team sent her a legal notice to tune of ₹10 crore.

Nayanthara, on her side, claimed that Dhanush said "horrible things" about film that was released nearly 10 years ago and that he continues to act "vile while wearing a mask in front of world". movie turned out to be a hit.

Nayanthara seeks legal means

Released in 2015, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was a romantic comedy written and directed by Nayanthara’s husband, Vignesh Shivan. actor starred opposite Vijay Sethupathi in movie, which was produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films. 39-year-old actor said she was shocked after receiving a legal notice for using a three-second behind--scenes clip in documentary.

Vignesh supported his wife by posting controversial clip on his Instagram handle and wrote over it, "Spre love sir". Nayanthara said she would be giving a “befitting” reply to Dhanush’s notice through lawful means. Dhanush has not yet responded to her open letter.
