Dhanush's Raayan Leaked Online, Admin Of Piracy Site Tamil Rockers Arrested

Dhanush’s latest release, Raayan, is performing well at the box office. Apart from starring in the film, this is his second directorial venture. With its popularity and positive word of mouth, the film has also fallen prey to piracy.

Tamil Rockers admin caught for piracy

According to reports, notorious Tamil Rockers member Jeb Stephen Raj from Madurai was nabbed by the Kerala cybercrime police after he was caught recording and uploading Rayaan illegally on a streaming website. Reportedly, the man is also an admin of the website. The admin has been leaking movies for years.

This move comes after the Kerala cybercrime police recently found Prithviraj Sukukmaran’s latest Malayalam film, Guruvayurappan Ambalanadai, on a pirated website just a day after its release. Reports suggest that, apart from these two films, copies of Maharaja and Kalki 2898 AD were also found with Jeb Stephen Raj.

As per the investigators, the piracy site reportedly earns money through pop-up ads and membership fees. They first release copies of secretly recorded films in cinema halls and then update them.

About Raayan

Raayan is a Tamil-language film written and directed by Dhanush. It tells the story of a young man who trains to avenge his family’s murder. He sets out on a quest to seek justice, which also leads him to the underworld.

The action film also stars Dushara Vijayan, Sundeep Kishan, Aparna Balamurali, Kalidas Jayaram, Nithya Menen, Amala Paul, SJ Suryah and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, among others. Within four days of its release, Raayan has earned ₹47.90 crore. Raayan also occupied a spot in the top 10 at the US box office during the opening weekend.

Dhanush’s upcoming project

After the successful run of Raayan, Dhanush will next be seen in Kubera. The makers recently released the first look of the actor. Apart from Dhanush, the film will star Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh.
