However, a few days later, the actor's ex-wife issued a statement on her social media handle slamming Jayam Ravi for blindsiding her and publicly announcing it without her "knowledge or consent". Now, the actor has finally reacted to his ex-wife's allegations and dismissed her claims.

Jayam Ravi discussed divorce with Aarti's parents

In an interview with DT Next, the PS2 actor mentioned he had sent a divorce notice to Aarti through his lawyer. The notice was acknowledged by Aarti's father. Dismissing, Aarti's claims of blindsiding her, the actor shared that both their parents were present when they discussed their divorce. “I sent a notice through my lawyer and Aarti’s dad acknowledged it. En veetla en appa amma laam vechu dhaan pesinaanga (The issue was discussed at our place with my parents and Aarti’s parents too). How could they say I wasn't accessible?” he added.

Jayam added that he even had an open conversation with his elder son Aarav about him and Aarti separating. "I have had an open conversation about the issue with Aarav as Ayaan is too young to understand such things. Aarav obviously wants us to stick together, " he said.

Jayam Ravi opens up about dating rumours

Jayam Ravi made his first public appearance on Saturday, September 21, after announcing his divorce from his wife. The actor attended the audio launch of Bro and later addressed the media outside Sathyam Theatre in Chennai. He rubbished the rumours of dating Kenishaa and urged that people are saying random things so don't indulge in such acts.

He further added that Kenishaa has sung in 600 stage shows and came up in life with her hard work. She is a healer and licenced psychologist, who has helped people with depression. "Live and let live. Don't drag anyone's name into this. People are saying random things. Don’t indulge in such acts. Let your personal life be personal.
