Raayan Box Office Collection Day 4: Dhanush Starrer Eyes ₹50 Crore Mark

Dhanush starrer Raayan had an overall 29.20 per cent Tamil occupancy on Monday, July 29, with the maximum reported in Trichy (61.75 per cent).

Dhanush starrer Raayan was performing well at the box office until the movie hit Monday, the first weekday. The movie opened at ₹13.65 crore, becoming the highest opener of Dhanush's career. Followed by ₹13.75 on Saturday and ₹15.25 crore on Sunday at the domestic box office. The movie's Monday business was supposed to decide its fate for a whole week. And well, the numbers have majorly dropped at the box office.

On Monday, the action thriller drama earned ₹5.25 crore in India, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Owing to low opening the movie fell short of around ₹3 crore to enter ₹50 crore club on Monday. Adding the fourth-day collection, the total stands at ₹47.90 crore with a maximum in Tamil language - ₹41.7 crore. Raayan had an overall 29.20 per cent Tamil occupancy on Monday with the maximum reported in Trichy (61.75 per cent).

Dhanush pens thank you note at Raayan secures a spot in the top 10 at the US box office

The actor, who turned 41 on July 28, shared a post on his X handle thanking his fans for giving him a "best birthday gift". Raayan occupied a spot in the top 10 at the US box office in the opening weekend, minting $378,571. He shared a statement that reads, "My sincere thanks to the audience, film fraternity, friends, press and media and my pillars of support- my fans for showering me with all your blessings. This is the best blockbuster birthday gift ever. Om Namashivaaya!"

The film also features S J Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Saravanan. The music is scored by maestro AR Rahman
