Suriya starrer Kanguva is being heavily criticised by cinemagoers for loud background score, causing a "heache". Now, Oscar-winner sound designer Resul Pookutty has reacted to flak and urged music fraternity to put ir feet down. He penned a long note on his social media handle sharing that it's "disheartening" to see negative reviews about sound in a popular movie.

Taking to his Instagram handle on Thursday, Resul shared a screengrab of a news article that res " film is criticised for its excessive volume, with loud dialogue and music that detracts from overall experience, making it one of loudest films in atres." Sharing post, he penned a long note in caption about how a friend of his sent him a clip of audience criticising sound.

"A friend of mine, a re-recording mixer send me this clip…. It is disheartening to see a review about sound in our popular films like this. Our craft and artistry caught up in loudness war… who is to blame?! sound guy?! or innumerable fixes comes at last moment to satiate all insecurities. High time our fraternity to put your foot down and say things loud and clear. No film will have a repeat value if audience walk out with he ache!" caption res.

Netizens express ir ordeal after watching Kanguva in atres

Soon after he dropped post, netizens flooded comment section expressing ir experience of watching movie in atres. A user wrote, "I am an ardent Suriya sir fan Watched Kanguva at Broway Cinemas Epiq screen , Coimbatore,but this film literally raised my BP and it also triggered Migraine, at one point i thought of leaving atre . Never ever in my atrical visits I thought of leaving atre due to b Sound mixing ,but this film me me too."

Anor user blamed director and pointed out, "Even previous two movies of same director ( vedhalam and vivegam) were also noise pollution and caused me he ache.. I literally told atre staff in Vedhalam interval to reduce sound."

What is first-day box office report of Kanguva?

Helmed by Siva, movie earned around ₹22 crore on first day of its release. Tamil version of film minted ₹13.65 crore with Hindi and Telugu collectively ding ₹8.25 crore to opening day total. movie was hyped to top box office charts but failed to beat Indian 2's opening day collection by ₹3.6 crore.
