Following the success of Amaran, fans and social media users took to their X (formerly Twitter) accounts to congratulate the actors and celebrate the feat with them. Remarking on this, singer Chinmayi shared on X,"One of the most talented and beloved female artists in the South will still not find space in a success poster, shoulder to shoulder with a man. Rowdy Baby was what it was also because of the trippy vocals of Dhee. Anyway." While many applauded th singer for bringing forth the issue of gender equality, most social media users schooled her for getting facts wrong and explaining that the poster is fan-made. She replied to the users in the comments and wrote, “I first saw that poster on the official accounts of the team. That image is here on Twitter and was widely circulated—MANY spoke about how Sai Pallavi is absent as well. This should have been updated much earlier... Doesn’t make a difference to the talent of Sai Pallavi anyway."

Amaran director did THIS to make Sai Pallavi believe her screen time will not be shortened

In an interview with Behindwoods, Sai Pallavi shared that when she narrated the script of Amaran, she was not convinced as it was a male-centric movie. She revealed that in male-centric movies, filmmakers mostly trim the portions of female actors to meet the length issues. So for Amaran, she made the director Rajkumar pen that her part would not be shortened under any circumstances and then only agreed to do the movie.

“Most of the time, in biopics or male-driven films, the makers easily cut out the portions of the heroine. They can cite length issues and go ahead with the same. So, I asked Amaran director Rajkumar to give it to me in writing that he won’t do such things. Of course, I could take that liberty with him, and he assured me that my character of Indhu Rebecca Varghese is as important as Major Mukund Varadarajan’s role in Amaran," she said.
