At the Chennai airport on Sunday noon, the Jailer star was questioned by the reporters about his take on the Hema Committee Report that details how sexual harassment and discrimination against women is rampant in Mollywood, an industry close by his state of Tamil Nadu. However, Rajinikanth's response was shocking to many.

"Sorry, I don't know anything about it," he stated. However, he did speak about Suriya and his film Vettaiyan averting a possible clash with the former's Kanguva on Dussehra. Rajini's comments came as a surprise to many, especially when Mollywood celebs have been facing heat after the revelations in the Hema Committee Report.
