Tamil Director Mohan G Arrested For Claiming Drug Causing Impotency Mixed With Palani Temple Prasad

The shocking allegations against the previous YSRCP-led government in the state alleging that the then government had used substandard ingredients. Animal fat has been found as one of the ingredients in making the world-renowned Tirupati laddoos, a consecrated sweet, for offering ‘Prasada’ at the temple. Now, amid this, Tamil director Mohan G has made shocking remarks in regards which has led to his arrest.

Tamil director Mohan G arrested?

In an interview on a YouTube channel, Mohan G was speaking about the row over animal fat being found in the ghee used to prepare Tirupati laddoos. He said, "I heard that medicine leading to impotency in men was mixed with panchamitham. That news was hidden and that panchamirtham was destroyed. We shouldn't talk without proof, but there was no proper explanation given. Those working there told me that birth control pills were an attack on Hindus”.

Following Mohan G’s arrest, BJP leader Ashvathaman Allimuthu has come out in support of him. He took to X and wrote a note along with his picture. In the caption it read, “Film director friend Draupadi Mohan G have been arrested by the Tamil Nadu Police. No formal information was given to the family as to what the cause was and what the case was. This is against the Supreme Court order. There is no information on where he is being held. Since DMK's rule, illegal arrests of dissidents have become routine. The Dravidian model of policing, which cannot control ganja smuggling, only does such crackdowns.”

Who is Mohan G?

Mohan G is a director, film producer and screenwriter who works in Tamil films. He gained recognition after the thriller drama Pazhaya Vannarapettai.

He has also made films including the dramas Draupathi (2020), Rudra Thandavam(2021) and Bakasuran (2023). Mohan's next film will star Richard Rishi, marking the third collaboration between the actor and the director.
