Tamil Filmmaker Suresh Sangaiah Dies At Young Age Due To Liver Failure: Reports

Suresh Sangaiah, a Tamil filmmaker, known for directing Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu (2017), reportedly died at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Chennai on Friday. Multiple media reports suggest that filmmaker was suffering was Jaundice and died battling liver failure at 11 PM.

Who was Suresh Sangaiah?

Suresh began his career in Tamil film industry as an Assistant to filmmaker M Manikandan on latter's Kaaka Muttai. In 2017, he me his directorial debut with Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, a low-budget drama. movie stars Vidharth and Raveena Ravi, in pivotal roles. film received positive reviews and critical acclaim.

His second directorial venture was Sathiya Sothanai, which was released in 2023. Starring Premgi Amaren in le role, filming was wrapped up just before COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdowns across various parts of India. Owing to lockdown, movie's release was delayed and when things got normal y released it in atres. Upon release, it received mixed reviews. This year, reports suggested that he would be collaborating with Yogi Babu for a Hotstar Specials' untitled movie, which will mark his third directorial.
