Venkat Prabhu's reason for GOAT failure in Hindi
Amid online trolling, Venkat Prabhu recently addressed the poor performance of Thalapathy Vijay's latest film in the Hindi and Telugu markets. During an interaction with fans on X/Twitter, Venkat suggested that his allegiance to a particular Indian Premier League ( IPL ) team might have affected the film’s reception in these regions. His X bio reveals him as a passionate supporter of the Indian cricket team and the Chennai Super Kings .
Venkat Prabhu shared his thoughts on X, saying, “Due to my support for Chennai Super Kings , Mumbai Indians and RCB fans tease me.” He chuckled and added in Tamil, “We’re all CSK fans; it’s in our blood. Perhaps this connection to CSK is why the movie didn’t resonate with Telugu and Hindi viewers. They might not have experienced the film the way we did.”
Apart from Vijay, the movie features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Sneha, Ajmal, Mohan, Jayaram, Vaibhav, Premji, and Aravind Akash.
